The Play Step: Update Tags lets you add, create, or remove Tags from your Accounts or Contacts. These updates will reflect on the profile page's Core details.
The option to update tags for an Account or a Contact corresponds with the play Target selected -- Account or Contact.
To add a tag, begin typing the name of which tag(s) you would like to add and select from the "Add these tags" dropdown. Or, any tags that don't currently exist will be created when the step executes.
If you choose to add a tag, but an Account/Contact already has that tag on their profile, the account/contact will appear under the "Processed with no updates" category in the play step report.
The process is the same for removing existing tags (type/select from "Remove these tags"), and choose which tags to remove.
The Add or Remove options can trigger simultaneously, which you could think of as "replacing" tags. For example, suppose you're tagging customers based on product edition. In that case, the Play Step: Update Tags could be a great way to automate replacing the "Edition A" tag with the "Edition B" tag when a customer’s product edition changes.
