When adding Play Steps, you can choose to update a Custom Table Record as part of the Play. Below are are few examples showing what you can automate with this type of Play Step:
-
When an Account’s Primary ChurnScore becomes red, that should update their open Renewal Opp and set the Stage to 25%.
-
When an Account finishes their Onboarding Journey, that should update their Onboarding Case and set the Status to Complete.
This Play Step will have the following settings:
- Custom Table- Select which custom table you will be updating
- Account Field- If there are multiple reference fields on this object, select which one will be used to show the relationship of the Account to the custom table record.
- Segment- Select a segment of custom table records that will be updated. If multiple records fall into this segment for one account, then all of them will receive the update.
- Add Field- Select which field(s) you would like to update, and what the new value should be when the Play Step occurs. Use the "Add Field" button if you would like to add more than one attribute.
- In order to have a field be available for selection, it must be marked as "Editable By Play" under the Custom Fields section in Admin.

Note: The 'Update Custom Table' play step is only available in Plays that target Accounts. This is only supported for Custom Tables integrated via Salesforce.com or ChurnZero generated Custom Tables.
