ChurnZero's Dynamic Slides help you automatically create account-specific presentation slides using prebuilt templates. We use templates built by admin users to supply you with presentation slides that already have the important information (charts, images, account-specific values, etc) included.
If you're an admin user and want more information on creating templates, please see: Create Dynamic Slide Presentation Templates
Create New Dynamic Slides:
- Navigate to the Attachments tab for profile of the account you're working with.
-
Click the Create button, then select Dynamic Slide.
-
You can choose from templates created by admin users. In the template picker that appears, you can:
- Search templates by keywords.
- Filter for templates using tags.
- Mark your favorite templates so you can access them more quickly.
- Review template names, descriptions, and tags.
- Once you've found the template you want, click Use This Template.
-
The Create Dynamic Slide window appears. Here you will:
- Confirm template details
- Name your file. (Files have names automatically added as part of the template, but you can make changes.)
- Select output destination (where your file saves).
- If you use a Microsoft 365 integration, you can save to your Microsoft 365 or to a shared drive. If your team uses a global Microsoft folder, you can select that here. You can also choose to download the file manually.
- NOTE: Downloaded files cannot be updated automatically using our "refresh" process. For more information on refreshing Dynamic Slides, see Manage and Update Dynamic Slide Presentations.
If you have Google Drive connected on your user profile, My Google Drive is available as a save location. When selected, the Dynamic Slide is written as a PPTX file and saved to the root folder of your Google Drive. These files appear alongside Google Slides in Drive, display a PPTX label, and remain true PPTX files. Google allows PPTX files to be edited directly in the browser using its Slides-style editor.
- If you use a Microsoft 365 integration, you can save to your Microsoft 365 or to a shared drive. If your team uses a global Microsoft folder, you can select that here. You can also choose to download the file manually.
- Click the Create button.
After you click Create, ChurnZero generates the slides for you. Generation includes all dynamic inserts, meaning that we will insert account values, charts, and images to your slides automatically.
Process duration will vary depending on the number of inserts in your chosen template. We'll let you know when processing is complete with a notification in our app as well as in an email. You can find completed dynamic slides on the account profile's Attachments tab.
Make Changes to the Presentation
The templates make it easy to generate up-to-date presentations for your accounts. You can still customize them to fit your needs. For example, you can update text, add screenshots, or add and rearrange slides.
Keep in mind that ChurnZero cannot update any changes you make outside of the dynamic inserts. This means we cannot refresh content on slides you add yourself or edits you make to existing text or images. Updates apply only to dynamic inserts within the alt text.
We recommend saving and closing your presentation (if you currently have it open) before attempting a refresh. This will enhance the efficiency of the refresh.
Troubleshoot Dynamic Inserts
If ChurnZero cannot match dynamic inserts to account data, you’ll see a message that the inserts could not be completed. This can happen for a few reasons, such as when the account does not qualify for a specific report widget or is not part of a selected journey.
Your presentation will still generate, but the affected inserts will not update. If you are unsure how to resolve the errors, reach out to your admin for help.
